Meet Judith
Growing Up
I am an only child from a very happy working class background.
Dad was a colour mixer for fabrics. He could mix colours without any formal training, charts etc. He just knew the tones and shades mix the colours.
He was a very quiet man – a gentle giant.
Mum was my best friend and a workaholic too. She too worked so that I could have the best in life and do better that she had.
Mum was a gifted seamstress and she could make settee cover, weddings dresses only using paper patterns. He had a true gift and once again with no educational qualifications. Unfortunately, this is a talent I do not inherit.
Dad was truly of the old school where money was concerned. You saved your money for a rainy day and paid cash for everything. Cheque books and credit were big no-nos to him.
Mum was rather different – she would spend what she earned – mainly on me. When she ran out of money Dad was always there to help.
Without giving you all the boring details of my education which was rather halted at the age of eleven because my teacher discovered I was left handed. That led to a long stream of events in my education including attending a small private school. This was not in my Dad’s mindset. I even made the appointment with the Mother superior for my Mum and me to visit the school.
This was a Catholic convent with 400 Catholics and me a Protestant and finally my local Grammar school.
I was destined for the factory or to work in Woolworths in my parent’s eyes. That’s what working class children did. I had very different ideas.
What did “Our Judith” need a private education for?
I even walked to school for a term and made my friend walk to so that I could save for the school fees. Where all this came from I shall never know?
After several other diversions along the way I finally decided that I was going to be a teacher and needed higher education.
I think my Dad had accepted it all by them.
My parents were so proud when I finally qualified.
As a family we went for long walks at the weekend. My Dad never had a car and didn’t want one. They ate your money!!!!
The big event was our summer holiday for two weeks and the whole year we saved for this.
Friday night was the big night out to the cinema and the fish and chips in newspaper afterwards.
Dad was a very fit sportsman and a great swimmer. From a little girl I was taken swimming every week.
The values that I learned from my Mum and Dad have stayed with me throughout my life and I am grateful to them for the sacrifices they made to give me the opportunities I have today.
As an ex-teacher the education of my daughters was paramount to me and I was prepared to do whatever it costs to give them the best education I could.
They both started school at the local primary where I taught but at the age of six and eight I opted to send them to a private school in our town.
Then came the time to move to a senior school. What did I do now? I asked Tina, my older daughter what she wanted to do. Gulp! She wanted to go to boarding school. After struggle and hardship I realized my dreams for my daughters and they started on their adult journey.
Tina was asthmatic and very shy as a youngster but now at 17 she had blossomed into a leader and was chosen to be the second head of the school. It was great honour.
She decided that Oxford was for her and a marketing degree. Guess what? She made a DECISION and then TOOK ACTION.
Her career and marriage took her to Thailand and eventually Hong Kong where she became a marketing director for Cathay Pacific.
Tina lives in HK with husband Jeremy and my two grandchildren Max and Emily.
Lisa, my younger daughter, had the same education but her character and interests took her in other directions.
She too took a degree in marketing and later trained as a teacher. However, her love of animals was paramount.
Now she has her own business, working from home with her partner Robin. They have a hydrotherapy pool to help dogs recover from illness, especially dogs with arthritic joints.
Her home is in the UK in Lincolnshire. She lives in a typical Tudor type house where she is surrounded by her animals including chickens, cats and dogs.
She had natural ability when it came to horses and she won many prizes for show jumping, gymkhana etc.
Lisa loved sport swimming, tennis and hockey.
Now my two young grandchildren are also living great lives.
Max is a sports fanatic. He plays rugby, football, golf and tennis at my last count.
He is going to UK to school in September and is so excited.
Emily Louise is pleased Max is going to school because she thinks she will have Mummy and Daddy all to herself.
My Business Journey.
My life like many other people my life has not always been easy, in fact there have been times when I felt like throwing in the towel, as though things would never work for me.
I’ve failed and had successes and now as I sit and ponder my life I begin to see the bigger picture and how the plan is coming together.
It has made me a stronger and more determined person to succeed without limits and I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE YOU THAT SAME PASSION.
I’m fortunate that I have a degree and I had some very happy years teaching before it became all paper work and administration. I was tired of being told how to teach my young pupils. I know now that I made the right decision to leave my chosen profession and one that I excelled in but I realize that my teaching skills are my unique gift and I want to use them to help as many people to have the lifestyle they desire and to reach for their limits.
I created a different lifestyle that opened my mind and my vision. I was introduced to personal development, prosperity, abundance something I had never experienced before.
Without my ongoing personal development I believe I would have quit by now.
Here are a few of the values that I have learned that I had never thought about in my professional and business career. Now with hindsight what a bland life I lived.
• Commitment
• Perseverance
• Positive Attitude
• Stretching and reaching until the goal is achieved.
• Failing Forward
• Enjoying my FREE Spirit
• Having Patience
• Determination
• Problem Solving and logical thinking.
• Absolute Focus on my End Result
As a child l I had great dreams and aspirations and I’m still moving along to have achieved them all.
Some of my dreams have been achieved, some have changed, new ones added or grown bigger.
• I choose to travel the world and meet people from all nationalities, religions and beliefs.
• I choose to buy a brand new Mini Cooper convertible in royal blue with silver stars on the wings.
• I choose to have my own indoor heated swimming pool.
• I choose to be reunited with both my daughters together.
• I choose to be able to help build a school and have computer equipment in a third world country.
• I choose to push the bounds of my personal development to great depths.
• I choose the greatest success yet with my online business by using all my skills learned on this long journey.
• I choose to return to Australia and travel up the west coast.
1960′s
Graduated from Leeds University as a fully fledged teacher.
Classroom teacher climbing through the ranks to head teacher.
1970′s
Things were beginning to change and I got off the hamster wheel.
Invited by my bank manager to open my own private school with the banks help!!!!!
Local politics prevented its opening and everything had to be sold.
To save the house my husband started a haulage business and we worked day and night. We hauled things from potatoes, fuel injectors to priceless antiques but petrol inflation hit and small businesses could not survive.
Could write a book about this episode in my life.
I gave the house to the bank and walked away. Wrong decision..
Finally became homeless and lived in a tent for 3 months with two girls at a private boarding school and huge school fees to find.
1980′s
Worked from home with my husband developing our corporate clothing business. We were one of the biggest suppliers in the UK ….. General Motors, Renault Agriculture, Massey Fergus son etc. Incredible business but poor cash flow. I had to voluntarily liquidate our company. A very stressful and agonize time. I was even threatened at shot gun point.
We lost everything but never my integrity and a belief that we could begin again.
It was through this business that I learned so may skills about working from home, banking, administration, customer service, training staff, long working hours to complete the job, determination etc.
1990′s
Need another change in direction. I knew I could never be employed again and work under someone else’s rules. By chance!!! I met a friend who was interested in floristry. At that time I d know one flower from another and nothing about design etc. thus began another part of the journey. I took my Dutch Diploma and my English qualifications my friend was not destined for business or commitment so we parted and I developed a business which served Stansted Airport. This was a small but developing airport at the time. Many private jets of the rich and famous arrived there because of privacy and ease of access to London. It was here that I arranged flowers for Michael Jackson, Margaret Thatcher, Rod Stuart, and The Saudi Royal Family. I even provided all the flowers for the Queen when she opened the New Airport.
This part of the journey was about to come to an end as the millionaire and his wife wanted to retire and remove themselves as partners. This was great in one sense but of course it removed my financial backing. I would not remove myself from my flat or my premises. Every time we had an occasion like Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day she would be on the phone issuing threats. It all ended happily when I turned up without a barrister in the high courts in London -and won my case but I knew then that it was the end of my career in floristry.
2000′s
Another opportunity landed at my feet.
My daughter whose wedding I had organized in 1993 sent us open ended tickets to visit Australia. Another dream about to come true.
We spent 2 years in Far North Queensland where we ran a ….Holiday Complex and I also taught English on the beach to Koreans.
After a short 6 months in New Zealand we sadly had to leave to return to UK heartbroken. Sadly visa restrictions world not allow us to stay and work any longer.
After 4 years back in UK not achieving anything, you’ve got it….
Opportunity landed again and we hot footed it to Spain.
I was able to teach English to Spanish Business people and still do today but this was never going to fulfill my other dreams. We did various other bits and pieces but with no passion or future.
Like many more people I went searching around the Internet. I could use Word; send emails and a few more basics. I had no idea why I was there or what I was looking for except a solution.
I was like a child again as things began to unfold, You Tube, slide shows, blogs.
I began to relate to people who were saying all the things I was feeling.
I was completely hypnotized and blown away but I had no idea at that time where it was all going to lead.
There were times over the last 2 years when I did have some reservations that maybe I would never earn any money but something inside has driven me on and that are why I’m here today.
I soaked everything up and continued to learn and apply knowledge from industry leaders like:
Mike Dillard of Magnetic Sponsoring. The first book I ever bought. I read it in one session.
Mike Klingler, Marketing Merge and Renegade University. Here I became a Super Guide.
I soaked up every webinar he gave.
Finally I found Ann Sieg and her “7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” This was a light bulb moment as she put into words all the things I had been feeling about old style MLM.
I learned valuable marketing concepts and strategies.
Where’s My Life Today?
On the runway ready for take off.
My Hobbies and Interests
Hello my friends and followers.
The TANGO
A night in Buenos Aires
What better way than to share my hobbies and interests than to show them as I live them?
For me the Tango is one of the most dramatic dance forms and not the easiest to learn. One of my dreams is to dance this exotic dance in Buenos Aires.
This week my teacher Marilu Fischer taught children and adults for a week and then they all participated in the Saturday Spectacular. It was choreographed as café society in Argentina.
